A Local Wellness Spot I Love: Serenity Sips in The Woodlands

I am always looking for great local wellness resources that I can confidently recommend to my patients.

Even though we offer a wide range of therapies at Vibe Acupuncture & Holistic Healing Center, I don’t believe one wellness center needs to do everything. I love finding other local businesses that are doing something unique, and actually trying their services myself before I send my patients there.

Serenity Sips is one of those places. If you are looking for looking for HOCATT in the Woodlands, Serenity Sips is a local wellness spot I've personally tried.

I originally went because I wanted to experience their HOCATT, and I absolutely loved it. Now it’s a place I recommend to many of my patients who are looking to incorporate additional detox-supportive practices into their wellness routine.

But there’s another part of Serenity Sips that makes it even better:

They have an amazing natural coffee shop with healthy lattes.

Wellness treatments and a great latte? They had me.

Why I Recommend the HOCATT

If you’ve never experienced a HOCATT, don’t think of it as simply another sauna.

The experience combines several different wellness technologies during one session.

While your body is inside the chamber and your head remains comfortably outside, the HOCATT at Serenity Sips incorporates ozone steam sauna, high-intensity PEMF, Frequency-Specific Microcurrent (FSM), and supplemental oxygen that you breathe during the session.

There are high-intensity PEMF coils positioned behind the body, while Frequency-Specific Microcurrent is delivered through the feet.

And then there’s the heat.

You sweat. A lot.

That’s one of the reasons I like referring patients to Serenity Sips when we’re talking about supporting the body’s natural elimination processes and incorporating detox-supportive practices.

Our bodies already have sophisticated systems for processing and eliminating substances through organs including the liver and kidneys. I look at “detox” as supporting the body’s normal processes, not magically pulling every toxin out of the body.

For appropriate patients, sweating, hydration, movement, nutrition and other healthy lifestyle practices can all be pieces of that bigger wellness picture.

As someone who works with wellness technologies myself, I appreciate the idea of stacking complementary modalities to save time!

Instead of sitting in a traditional sauna and experiencing heat alone, the HOCATT allows several technologies to be incorporated into the same session.

You’re experiencing the ozone steam sauna while receiving PEMF and Frequency-Specific Microcurrent and breathing supplemental oxygen.

That’s what made the experience so amazing to me, so many modalities in one. I could feel myself in detox mode!

And Can We Talk About the Lattes?

A latte next to jenga

This is one of my favorite things about Serenity Sips.

Wellness can sometimes become so serious that we forget it’s also supposed to be something we enjoy.

Serenity Sips has created an environment where you can go for a wellness session and then sit down with a delicious latte made with more health-conscious ingredients and play an intense game of jenga!

Their natural coffee shop has healthy versions of the drinks people actually want to drink, and it makes the entire experience feel less like going somewhere for a “treatment” and more like doing something enjoyable for yourself.

I’m completely on board with that philosophy.

Healthy living should still be fun.

Give me advanced wellness technology, a good sweat and a great latte afterward, and I’m happy.

Why I Believe in Supporting Other Local Wellness Businesses

Serenity Sips offers its own combination of wellness modalities and has created an experience that’s different from what we do at Vibe.

That’s a good thing.

We don’t have to do everything under one roof.

We can have great acupuncturists, functional practitioners, wellness centers, fitness professionals, healthy cafés and other businesses throughout The Woodlands that each bring something different to the table.

And when we support one another, our patients and our community ultimately have access to more options.

I certainly didn’t.
